Decorations on Russian rural buildings

I've seen a few pictures of houses with painted decorative wood work around windows/doors and gables.

How much would have been painted ?

Blue/green/red...

I have a couple of buildings on the go and would like to add a splash of colour if possible.

If you are speaking about windows and rooftops decorations then the most popular color is definitely white:

Second most popular color is blue.  Green is also present.
