Flash to the rescue!
« on: September 01, 2008, 04:19:37 PM »
A couple of weeks ago Overlord posted some pics of his lovely Flash Gordon 40mm minis from Graven Images. As I've been playing with my digital camera, I thought I'd add my own efforts:

Flash and Zarkoff:

Two imperial officers of Mongo (the one on the left is one of my favourite minis):

And some of Ming's own troopers:

Lovely work. ;D You have just got to love Dr Zarkov's choice of wardrobe :)

Nice work (though I'm not too much into Flash Gordon). Still, cool minis.

Smashing. Love the officer lady in the thigh-high boots.

Those troopers (who look great, by the way) look like they're the Mongo Medical Corps, about to administer some rather painful injections to the troops.

Oh, Man! that was a painful movie. I suffered through it once because it was supposed to be one of the "classics"!
The best part had to be that stop motion creature!

This was a cult classic at the time, every 12 year old who managed to sneak a copy from the video shop could command the rest of the class of sniggering boys. e.g. Professor Jerkoff...a bit like a US carry on but with naked bosoms...ooh matron ;D

A Video shop!?  Are you kidding?!  When the movie came out there was no such place when I was a teen.  I had to get my brother to take me to see the film...!

"where has all my hair gone!?"

Sorry for the highjack.  Lovely models, excellent painting.  I like Ming's troops - they would also be great for Babylon 5 Centauri.
