Dragoon Green?
« on: 10 November 2014, 06:56:19 PM »
I wonder if I can pick the brains of those who have painted Napoleonic French dragoons. I'm planning to buy some 28mm Perry dragoons this weekend at Warfare and I've seen elsewhere on the internet that reproducing the right colour of green can be problematic.

So I'd be interested to hear what paints any of you guys have used. For me Vallejo is a preference but I may be I can be pursuaded to look elsewhere...

I thought Vallejo reflective green looked fine.

I haven't painted one myself.  There is a WSS video painting a dismounted Dragoon.

The greens used are:
Black Green 70.980
Deep Green  70.970
Bright Green 70.833

If you have the Vallejo Napoleonic set it comes with Deep Green (70.970), which I assume was put in for painting Dragoons.

Guys. Thanks for the advice. I liked the Youtube the clip: a girlfriend who paints figures for you. Some guys have all the luck!
