Pulp Alley AAR - Robots vs. Cultists
« on: 28 November 2014, 01:02:29 AM »
Here are some highlights from the game Josh and I played a bit ago, both to test out his new league and because I wanted to play with a lot of robots on the table lol

This is one of the scenarios out of the Vice Alley book so we used zombies as our aggressive bystanders.

The leagues were pretty evenly matched.

The game was really close but eventually the cultists were able to win once they knocked out the last robot in "The Circle".

This was a really fun game! The gangs of robots were really great lol Hopefully we'll have time to get another game in soon. :D

Wow that looks like pure mayhem. The things that go on in that town at night!

I joined my gun with pirate swords, and sailed the seas of cyberspace.

Very cool, you sure set the bar high in every regard.
a mixture of quick parts, sarcastic humour, reserve, and caprice.

Those Robots are great I saw on the Miniature Page you said they were Heroclix do you know exactly what figure they are? I have gone through that stuff and used quite a bit for my Flash Gordon collection would love to add those.

Thanks

The robots are called M-11 from the Hammer of Thor heroclix set. When the set first came out, I bought about two-dozen of these from an online store for about $0.25 each. Now it's hard to find them for under $2.00.

HAVE FUN

What a great looking game, your scenery is superb. I love that barrow-load of pumpkins as well!  :-*

I this week succumbed to Pulp alley and got both the PDFs of the game and perilous island, great stuff and intend to  get it gamed next year, I for the life of me cannot find the  profile on the robots the perilous island  mentions robots but I cannot find the skill or talent?

Great game and pictures the amount of people playing this seems huge>

It appears to me that the Pulp Alley duo make an art of giving you absolutely wonderful tools without telling you exactly what to do. This leaves lots of room for players to use their own imaginations. In other words, any character you create can be a robot, or a vampire, or a pirate, or a robot-vampire-pirate, etc. It is up to the individual player to pick the abilities and skills that best fit that character and then call it whatever you want. As far as I am aware there is not an ability or perk called Robot. Personally I think Reanimated is a good ability for robots but I've seen guys use Big, Mindless, Unearthly, and a few others.
