Seeking a Page in Peril...
« on: December 06, 2014, 06:28:41 PM »
I'm building up a stable of heroes for my dungeoneering and fantasy games, as well as models to serve as objectives of an adventure: treasure, magic items, etc.
But now I've run into an interesting snag...
It's fairly easy to find models of damsels in distress (I already own a lovely Trixie from Ramshackle games), but looking at my heroes (and my players), not all would be interested in saving and winning a wife.
So now I find myself "needing" a model for a male in a similar situation, let's call him a "Page in Peril".
Do any of you know where I could find such a figure?

P.S. Speaking of variety, why are all damsels in distress human anyway? Are there non-human (elf, dwarf) damsels in distress out there, you know of?

I hope you didn't strain your eyes too much...  :D

That Newline male slave has potential...
And that dwarven slave gang could be useful in a dungeon for various reasons. Thanks for the links!

It's a tough one, isn't it? Even finding clear reference pics of what I'm looking for is difficult.
Basically take the classical image of a  "damsel in distress": tied or shackled to a tree, a standing stone, etc. but replace the lady with a dude.
Apparently the (controversial) Heroquest 25th anniversary edition will feature a captive knight that may do, but I've yet to see that set get released...

Perhaps you can find a praying knight/paladin remove his weapon or something and use some fine chain to chain him to something.

There is the tied up dwarf slayer from the old warhammer starter box set. He should be easy-ish to get hold of.

Should be easy enough to create one with Hero Forge, or, if nothing else, lose a few hours on their site...

Thank you for the suggestions!
SotF, sadly Heroforge doesn't offer any "trussed up like a turkey" poses....
The tekumel men look useable. Shame about the flaming skull though, but that is what jeweller's saws are for...
I like Cardinal Richelieu's guest, but does anyone know if the long-haired or the ironmasked head is the standard model? I can't tell from the images.
