Our first try at Longstreet
« on: 11 December 2014, 01:42:53 PM »
I've had the rules for over a year but we have never got around to organising a game.

However, on Tuesday night James, Lee and myself tried out a river crossing using them.

Looking forward to starting the Campaign :)

Move or Charge  (on your Blog)?. I think your poster means Fire or Charge although there are cards that will allow that too

He is right.
Re - reading the rules you may have a movement phase, a charge phase or pass.

But some troops may charge and some may only move in the same turn?

You *either* move *or* charge - you can't do both in the same turn.
Remember you are only commanding a brigade - so the commander is either concentrating on manoeuvre, or he is leading an assault.
Units which fired can move, but not charge (unless you play the special card allowing it).

Right, got it - thanks. That's very subtle. I have to say that I rate these rules

Thanks.

I'm really pleased with the two armies and I've been investing in 15mm terrain
