If I'd known that was the prize I'd have tried harder.  ;)

My admiration should suffice a tremendous ego boost for said knowledgeable person  :D

What say you Stuart?  ;) :)

Looking forward to this one Darrell, and seeing the rest if the forces develop; have you conquered the light cavalry mountain yet?

The light cavalry are all converted, those that needed to be. I'l lprobably have them painted in time for the Perry's to release their plastic boxed set  lol lol.

My plans are to work on them in this order:

Charles VIII donning his armour vignette
French Light Cav.
Italian Light Cav.
Light Cav Vignette- this will be the Stradiot Lights raiding the baggage and Charles's personal porn collection!
Swiss.
Ordonnance- though I'm still stuggling to find models for the French as their guns were far superior to the Italian artillery.... any ideas? Foundry? Perhaps a little too late?
Italian Infantry - archers,  lighter men at arms and dismounted men at arms.
French and Italian Heavy Cav- Men at Arms.

The list does not extend beyond this as I don't want to get too far ahead of myself!!

Here's another shot of Gonzaga just to give myself impetus......

I'll take some pics as soon as I have the time- they're mostly inspired by Richards WoR conversions (Capatain Blood to us lot) but I did some light conversion work on some of the Perry WoR metal Scurrers too.

So, I'll take the snaps tonight if possible- they may still be at my ex girlfriend's house!! Long story but I'm in the process of moving my stuff out and there's a lot of stuff!

The river crossing scene is brilliant :-*

It's just Vallejo (acrylic) Water manipulated with a Starbucks coffee stirrer. The splashes, after I'd mulled over it for months are just GW fake snow moulded by using Blu-Tak!! Simple really   :).

I think that calls for another pic!  ;) :D

The light cav will be interesting, there's do much variety across the combatants which despite a forthcoming release having time saving potential I've no doubt you've had fun converting them.

I'm interested to know of your thoughts on the French Lance; how will you represent the Ordonnance archers?

Actually they're very well depicted in the images of Fornovo which is a bonus. Any plans for dragoon / dismounted ordonnance archer types?

How many Swiss are required?

As for the guns I'd use the Perry Burgundian pieces and sculpt green stuff fleur de lys, fluting, Jerusalem crosses and so on. Iirc the drawings depict light pieces so that should be about right. Historically They didn't do that much owing to wet powder (have I remembered that right?).

Foundry guns would be a bit late I think, stick with the lighter pieces, perhaps have limbered heavy pieces for interest, Painterman is good inspiration for that.

Hope that helps, very excited about this !!!

That Charles VIII malarkey is just a cover-up though. Anyone can tell the vignette actually represents Sir Percival Thwackbottom getting ready for the 'spank me with a flail' party at Mrs Severa de Sade's Hellfire Club on Perdition Lane.
