Victorian Adventurer

Another bit of fun for Northstar - he's a Victorian Sci-Fi adventurer for 'In Her Majesty's Name', but is equally adept at being an historical adventurer traipsing around the Northwest Frontier, trying to rule hidden kingdoms and the like.

'Sir John ejaculated explosively, sitting up in his chair.' ... 'The Black Gang'.

Very nice. Would bring together nicely those Artizan Northwest Frontier figures with the FOG range as well as North Star's IHMN figs.

Good god, man. That's a beaut even by your standards. Those goggles are fantastic - any chance of a close up, Mr DeVille?

Pretty sure it's one of the new FOG figures, not an IHMN one.

Great figure with a stunning paint job. Love the metal on the sword and pistol.
So many projects..... so little time.......

Why thank you guys and gals, you blatant flatterers, you.

Pretty sure it's one of the new FOG figures, not an IHMN one.

You might be right, it's certainly a Mike Owen sculpt. I thought Nick told me it was for IHMN, but I could well be mistaken (I often am).

I realise this probably isn't exactly what you were after, but I'm afraid the model has already been parcelled up! It was done with the old false-horizon bit of shennanigans, with a nice grey spot above (for the sky) and a little brown streak underneath (for the ground). A tiny white spot up top gives the shine.

No worries! That was what it appeared in the smaller image, but I didn't know if there were other layers in there.

I was pretty dissatisfied at some of my recent lens experiments, (I had the blue/brown reflection painted in, similar to the end of this thread: http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=6026.0 but for some reason it hasn't been turning out for me as well as I'd like). Yours seems to be pretty much the same formula, just with a slightly darker cant.

Thanks!

Now I need to figure out what to do for flat lenses...

He's not, he's probably from the FOG range of Artizan figures, available via North Star.
