Egyptian Figures?
« on: 13 January 2015, 06:56:03 PM »
Have any of you guys got a list of good Egyptian figure manufactures?

I'm thinking the classic 'New Kingdom' period?

Newline are one that spring to mind, but I'm not too keen on those.
Foundry are another, but perhaps a bit 'small' these days (and expensive)

Cheers

You could also try Essex 28mm - large range with some of their enemies as well.

Black Tree are okay.   Their 50% off sale was supposed to end today, but seems to be still on.   Order quick.

The CP Models range looks quite comprehensive:

North Star also have a new range, including MDF chariot models:

MDS Miniatures had a nice little range which is now owned by Caliver Books. Not yet visib le on their rubbish webiste though.

Foundry has 2 ranges if we can say that.
There´s the old ones more 25mm and there are 3 or 4 packs more recent that look like 28mm or even 30mm on a range mixed with explorers.

Yes, they were designed by Steve Saleh before his departure for Warlord.

The old Perry-sculpted Foundry range still holds up pretty well despite being 26 rather 28mm. Simon 'Painterman' Chick did a beautiful Egyptian army with these back, err... in the previous century  lol

I have fond memories of the pics of it which appeared back then in WI. If you like Simon's Burgundians, you'll love his New Kingdom Egyptians if you can get hold of the WI issues in question. .
