Captain William Shakespear in Arabia
« on: 17 January 2015, 08:21:40 AM »
It's not a facitious name: I have to admit I had never heard of this gentleman, who was a photographer, adventurer and diplomat of sorts, active in the Middle East just ahead of the First World War.
Not exactly an explorer or colonist, but I guess this is where he fits best - mods please transfer if he should be in the Great War, as he is relevant to the build up to this.
The poor chap died photographing a battle.
