Wall Posters as photo backgrounds?
« on: 18 January 2015, 07:29:32 PM »
Hi folks,

I have been trying to find some suitable landscape scenery as backgrounds for more evocative photography of my miniatures, and the idea came to purchase some of your typical wall posters to use in the background... a nice forest, hill, or castle, can help set the scene nicely, correct?  Something like this: http://www.allposters.ca/-sp/Mountain-Path-posters_i8308868_.htm or any other of the hundreds of thousands of posters that are available out there.

Has anyone else tried this?  What dimensions of poster would be best for photographs involving relatively few figures, like 10-20 figures?  I wouldn't want to get something so big you can see anything in the background, likewise you don't want it so small that you can't fit it in the frame...

Why not try Pet Smart or a train hobby store. That is where I picked up some long posters to use in photographing games with a background in it to eliminate the background furniture. Just a thought.
