does anyone know of any useful proxies for hybrids, or anywhere selling heads that can be used as hybrid heads for conversions?

Coincidentally I just finished some of my Cult figures. I painted them a couple years ago and finally got them based after switching the tunic color.

I wrote some notes about the cars and figures on my blog: Dr. Mathias's Cult
I have a bunch of hybrids, magus, and some more hybrid/brood brothers waiting in the endless queue...

Bloody lovely those.

Great stuff there Dr Mathias.

I would show my genestealer cult but it's just a bunch of bare metal.  :(  I don't have a vast amount of models so probably a dozen various hybrids, 17 all metal 'stealers (pretty chuffed to have those) and the running and seated patriarch models. I started to add a few cultists and stuck with the Olley theme so went with a few of his Imperial Guard sculpts and his 3 psykers.

Thanks for the comments all, appreciated!

BTW, what is the source of that sisters of battle shrine in the background?

The 2nd edition Sisters of Battle codex had some illustrations of statues of Ecclesiastical saints that I liked. Several years ago I sculpted them all in low relief, made a mold and cast them up. They're very flat, and so far I've only painted up the one. The rest is Hirst blocks, with a couple custom pieces. I have plans to make a ruined cathedral but it seems to take a couple years before I get anything done  :-[

Where did you get the cars? They are awesome.

They're modified superhero 'pull back' cars from the 'Dollar Tree'. I bought a bunch about four or five years ago, I haven't seen them there since then. They do pop up on eBay though, at about a 900% increase in price.

Maxmini has some alien heads that aren't bad:

I don't see them on the webstore right now though.

Bob Olley's normal human heads are pretty brutal looking and hybrid like, if he were to put out just a simple head sprue I think he'd sell loads of them.

Great stuff there Dr Mathias.

Thanks, I hope to see yours someday. Knowing what you can do with a normal Imperial Army figure I'm sure your force would be the Sistine Chapel of Genestealer Cults  :)

Mine are only half built, mainly based around Perry Minatures Sudanese Mahdists. You get infantry in robes, plenty of heads lacking hair and lots of bare arm that can be easily replaced with genestealer arms, also added in arms and bodies from the fantasy ghouls. I build some as normal humans, some with three arms and some with four, kitted out with pistols, rifles and close combat weapons.
