The Man from U.N.C.L.E. Trailer
« on: 14 February 2015, 12:21:45 PM »
I know it's not the original - but this looks good. And gaming wise would have a great look about it (Brummie Thug has done it, as has Kiss Kiss Bang Bang):

I can't believe that I wasn't aware of that movie before.
Looking forward to it.

I'm having recollections of Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, but I suppose that's down to the choice of setting. Directed by Guy Ritchie (I should have known by the cuts) and I can't say that I've not liked any of the movies of his I've seen.

Is that a H&K UMP at 1.48? I know it couldn't be, but I'm curious. No idea what the rifle at 1.09 is either. ???

Are the bad guys THRUSH cause you can get cream for it nowadays. I know this film has been on a low boil since the late 90s. A friend of mine used ideas for scenarios from the TV show so I'll be guessing the film will inspirer  him.
I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass....and I'm all out of bubblegum. No wait I've just found another pack in my back pocket. Mmm tropical fruit bubblicious.

I particularly like that they seem to have gone for a kind of prequel to the TV series judging by '1963'. Far more my thing than mid-late '60s camp... although that's still a guilty pleasure of mine. Early '60s is where it's at, when men actually wore 50 shades of grey (flannel).
 ;)

I'm lukewarm on Guy Ritchie movies, but Crossing my fingers for this.  :)

Thanks for posting that.  I was unaware of the coming movie.  Of course, for "men of a certain age,"  Robert Vaughn will always be Napoleon Solo.

You can check which weapons appear in a movie on the Internet Movie Firearms Database:

Great resource, I recommend just browing through the great classics like Aliens and Terminator 1+2 just for fun  8)

We'll see how the story is when it comes out. I have my doubts. Reminds me, I have 23 episodes of UNCLE on my DVR that I have to watch yet!  :o

Now, I am excited for the latest Bond film, Specter. The new teaser trailer just came out.

It's a good time for those of use who like good spy stories!

Yes indeed. I plan on getting me another Nexus miniatures British agent and hasslefree alexander to make me a Spectre bond. Though it looks like I may need a few more for this.
