« on: February 18, 2015, 07:22:07 AM »
Hi guys, am doing a 28mm bolt action Fallschirmjager platoon + commission, 40 odd minis, with some support weapons, these are the first 10 figs done, I did all the blue field jackets in this one bunch (for ease of painting) the customer will do the basing, pretty happy with these, all comments welcome.

Like the paint jobs, but I'll echo the comment above. The fliegerbluse is not blue, but rather luftblau, or a very dark blue gray. They should look dark grey with just the faintest tint of blue in the right light. The only kit that would be something like what you've done here is the bread bag and bandoliers. If you need references check out photos of reenactor gear rather than illustrations are there often easier to decipher and less subjective

Thanks for the feed back, yeah they are are a bit more blue then they should be, a little creative license, I wanted them to pop a bit on the table, I'm happy with them.

You mentioned this is a commission - will your customer be happy with them though?

Have to say I really like these.

It's a long standing thing but you see a fair bit of SS, Heer and some of the more esoteric, Blue Division etc. but rarely any of the Herman Goering div or Luftwaffe troops, I think these bring something new to a table.

Bravo.  I'd be happy to get these as a completed commission.
