He believes 3D printers will be common household items in a few years, just as 2D paper printers are now. He also says the 3D printer at this stage is a bit like the dot-matrix printer was, and over the next few years 3D printers will get better and cheaper.
One thing he did say is that if a club pitched in and bought a 3D printer jointly, it could be much more cost-effective in the end than pitching in and buying a bunch of one-off scenery items.
