Question to our danish LAFers
« on: 10 March 2015, 11:36:04 AM »
Hei,

I will be in/near Kysing Strand in the beginning of may and was wondering if there's anything around there I have to see.
All suggestions are welcome :)

That is pretty much in the middle of nowhere.

Depending on how mobile you are. You can visit Moesgaard museum in Århus. It is an archaeological museum and is definately worth a visit. As a not it has a display/diorama of an ironage army built with Gripping beast miniatures. If you want some sort of civilisation Århus is where you need to go.

Denmarks oldest miniature golf course is at Saxild (saxild minigolf) It is a small hidden timepocket in the middle of a summerhouse district. And a very good place to have a few beers and make a fool of oneself playing minature golf.

And then there is a Nudist beach at Kysing Strand..

I'm not Danish, but I second Århus and the Moesgaard Museum (especially for Grauballe Man!).

In Århus also is Den Gamle By (apologies to our Danish friends if I have misspelled it!); well worth a leisurely stroll around - it's an open-air town museum (The Old Town), various jolly nice half-timbered buildings and so forth. If I recall correctly C15th through C19th.

If dining is your thing three restaurants in Aarhus have just been given Michelin stars, so maybe worth driving by if in the vicinity.

"Den Gamle By" sound interesting as well :)

Depending on how much we sell and if one of them serves vegetarian food, we will have a look ;)

Thanks so far, guys
