Flip's Imperial Assault

So like a fair few of you on this fine forum, I picked up a copy of FFG's Imperial Assault game, I've not even looked at the rules, or punched the cards, just went straight into painting the miniatures, of which I would like to share a few with you.


Intensify forward fire power! Admiral Piett.

Imperial Officers, its handy that you only get three of these chaps, as you only ever see three different color schemes during the original trilogy, green, black and white, though red is makes an appearance in the comics.


Leave us. The Emperor.

These guys were awesome looking when they first appeared in ROTJ, though then they did nothing but stand around. To make matter worse, they turn up in ROTS and got tossed around by Yoda.... Shame the deleted scene from Jedi were they execute the Moff in charge of the Death Star wasnt kept...

Love what you've done with the officers to differentiate them! I painted all mine the same grey uniform so I'll probably have trouble in games differentiating them... but to be fair the officers never seem to last long in my games. I'm about halfway through painting the set now and am dreading the storm troopers (going to be monotonous!) so I'll be interested to see what others do with them first!

I made a start on the Stormtroopers, not as much of a pain as I thought they would be.

Well its been a while, but I started painting up Imperial Assault miniatures again.

Good Grief!!! That's a might large number of miniatures to have finished in such a short time. And they look good too. Color me impressed and then some.

Just a small update, an AT-ST and Princess Leia. The reason for the lack of updates is due to my ordering Twin Shadow's, Leia, Boba Fett, and R2D2 & C3PO packs from Wayland games at the beginning of January, I got Leia delivered at the start of March and Twin Shadows Friday....Think I'll use Amazon from now on...

They look like pretty decent figures. It's a shame they're not more readily available separately.

The game sounds pretty decent too. Quite a few reviews I've seen of Deathwatch Overkill have suggested buying Imperial Assault instead.
