Giant Bamboo aka paper straws

While looking for something cheap on Amazon to bump my order up to the free shipping I found this for $2.50
8" long paper straws with a printed bamboo pattern.

I though of a giant bamboo forest [you though Kong ate measly tiny bamboo?]
or a stack of fresh cut logs for cover/cargo but how well do they scale?

Nicely I think, now to actually do something with them.
