Looking for a damsel in distress tied to a railway track
« on: April 02, 2015, 09:42:52 PM »
I'm trying to find a suitable ~28 mm damsel in distress tied to a railway track figure.  I've conducted some extensive Googling & the closest I can find is the Pulp Figures Cringing Captives.  Does anyone know if there's a figure out there that's actually tied to a railway track, or could otherwise be suitably modified without too much A-level conversion work?  (I've posted this in the Pulp forum as I reckon that's the most likely era I'll find a suitable figure, but VSF or any other pre-WW2 era dress would be fine.)

Also, does anyone know of any steam engine driver/fireman figures out there?

Mega Miniatures produced a female that was on the ground and tied as part of the 'Road Kill' range- it was a limited availability range though. You may need to contact the proprietor directly.

As for a train engineer, maybe MC03 from CP models?

There was a "Perils of Pauline" vignette - girl tied to track villain leering above her - at one of the shows a couple of years ago.

Partizan?

It's one of the few shows we regularly attend with a door-figure.

If so try asking Newark Irregulars if it was one of theirs.

Pulp figures as a cringing captives set under weird menace.  Could be easily adapted.

Failing that, you could repose an old heroclix single.
You, sir, are not allowed to attempt a takeover of the solar system until your octopus sobers up.

Yes - it was definitely Partizan; at least 5 years ago and probably more. I know I've got it somewhere but, having recently moved....I don't know where.... :(

Thank-you for the pointers.

I'll try getting in touch with the Newark Irregulars, although I won't hold my breath given it was so long ago.  Likewise, looking at the Mega Miniatures site, it said they'd destroy the mould & master so I doubt that girl's still available.  I'd already noted the Pulp figures & I reckon I could make her work with a bit of re-posing if the other 2 options draw a blank.

That engineer would probably suffice as a steam engine driver, & the one with the hammer could probably be turned into a fireman by changing the hammer into a spade.
