Great write up of the last two battles.
I so enjoy your battle reports, I even learn a little bit of history.
But the question is, who ended with the beer cart? ;)

Glad you like the aar's then it is Worth the effort.

I suppouse the beer ended up on the kings table after the 8th battle :)

But i think this can be an argument for further Battles amongst the royal brothers...

Best regards Michael

Michael,

I'll have the pics of the game on their way to you today. I had a bit of an Editors block when I was converting those Longbowmen!  :)

I'll post them on this thread or possibly start another- whatever you prefer(?).

Darrell.

beside the usual compliments for pictures, miniatures, and table (not necessarily in this order...) some questions:

1) Why some of the Knights' lances seems very short (especailly the ones of the King's knights).

2) How you feel in playing with two 28mm retinue per sides in 120x120?

3) The miniatures are largely Fireforge?

I think from the look of  the sculpting style the chaps in blue and white are Gripping Beast, which may explain the difference

Hi

Glad you like our work.

As Lowtardog say the Blue/White Knights and Foot serjants are Gripping Beast minis with wire speares, painte by my friend Jonas, you find more stunning pictures of his Royal Retinue at his blog: [url:0http://conflictofinterests.blogspot.se/search/label/Lion%20Rampant]A conflict of interests[/url]

The rest of the minis are mainly Fire Forge, but for my retinues I have mixed Fire Forge with Gripping Beast and some Perry miniatures, all plastics as I like to kitbach them. More pictures at my blog

As for table size we most often use 120x120cm table byt we don´t field 2 full 24 point retinues on each side, each player are most often commanding 12 point retinues with 3 players on each side (36 points in total with 3 leaders on each side) using a dedicated activation card for each commander to determin when it is his turn to try to activate.

a picture of my latest addition to the project

Best regards Michael
