Thats one of the things you never should say to yourself. ;)
I think each of us know some painters who are way beyond our
standards but thats more an inspiring thing than an depressing one.

I have to agree.  As I have aged my eyesight and hand control have diminished and my figures are not as good as they used to be.

BUT

I am still painting, making models and playing games.  I still enjoy the hobby.  I am inspired by the work I see here not put off by it.

AND

My grandson aged 7 is entering the hobby.  Soon he will be better than I am at painting.

I know that feeling. I've been painting figures for the Daisho participation game at Salute and I'm wondering where all my skills have gone. I used to be able to paint on eyeballs on a 25mm figure, now I'm struggling to do a decent face on a 28mm...  :(

Well Iam still waiting for my minis to arrive.

But I the in the meantime I came up with the idea of adding a steam hound.
Westwind has a tiny little infernium hound. But I wanted something more dangerous
maybe some mashine you can send against big bad creatures.

I worked on the weekend and if I am lucky I get this printed next few weeks

some stat Ideas are for now

Speed 9"/+6
Pluck: 4+
FV: 4+
SV:-
Speed:-
Talents: Antivenom, Impervious (can`t get targeted by mystical powers, hope thats the name)
Weapons: claws, fangs (+2,-2)

Looks good to me so far but it seems a bit to reliable.
I like the Idea of him turning crazy or something like that if anything damaged his cortex (ore whatever gives him some AI)

If you have some Ideas about a chart with damage Ideas I would like to hear some.

cheers

in my humble opinion on the issue of mechanical companions and contraptions...

Manned walkers/beasteies are covered by IHMN and easy enough to poke around and proxy.

There are some specific 'man's best clockwork freiend/K9' types already eg clockwork hounds or tigers that really extra personal weapons.

and then finnaly there are 'robots' proper for which I humbly submit my robot construction and use rules posted elsewhere.

I think damage charts for amnthing but manned vehcile a. dont work  b. break the IHMN system too much.  Easiest way to make your beast less effective is lower pluck...

but just a view!

Reinforcements for my Company:

Here are some pictures of the update:

group shot of the 300p force (I struggle with the camera options):
The Seargeant has now the option to purchase a military rifle and so
the mini get one of warlords plastic rifles from the zulu war range

Frederick Abberline, I wanted the look of Michael Caine but I`m not very pleased with the result:

the first constable with vertical spring translocators:

and my steam hound, still wip:

I will try to post more pictures this week.

Hi Geki

You can find the stats for Clockwork Hound in "Heroes,  Villains and Fiends" page 6 also Clockwork Bulldog inside in the "The Kentish Men Company"

https://inhermajestysname.wordpress.com/additional-material/

Clockwork Bulldog (unique item, 5 points): The Bulldog reduces one designated enemy’s Armour value by 2 as it distracts him by attacking his legs and feet. It has Armour 10 and Pluck 5+. It is of no use against mechanical walkers or steam driven vehicles.

Very simular rules for both but worded differently :)

Hope that helps :)

Where did you get the clockwork hound from btw ?

Cheers Matt
