Thanks, the question was moreorless about full animal henchmen party for animalistic caster (you know old Beastmaster movie?).

Is there any change for "demi-humans" casters (Elves and that bunch of heroes).

An all animal warband wouldn't let you pick up much treasure...in theory you could have an animal companion, and a warband full of wardogs, but I wouldn't like your chances.

You count just treat demi-humans as humans.

Now this thing's definitely something I'm looking forward to!
Somehow reminds me of the good olde game Lords of Chaos. Gawd I loved that game...

The question is...has to be the lead character spellcaster?
And his apprentice?
Is it possible to cast spells, well, in Full Plate?
(sir Sparhawk and his band of friends from legendary Eddings novels)

Is it possible to have animal companions instead of Undead
(Witch of the Wild from the Dragon Age)

I know its about spellcasters, but still I wonder if there are any other option for alternate characters classes?

A wild and random suggestion - said Eddings novels, if I recall right, had a pretty powerful sorceress whose name eludes me at the moment but who basically taught the knights their magics. Could you consider using her as the leader of your warband, with Sparhawk & rest of the knightly lot acting as warriors?

I really have no idea what I'm doing.

Sefrenia. That's my thinking on this matter. :-)

I am looking forward to the background and the settings. The casters from Northstar somehow reminds me Heroes of Might and Magic II...

First of all thanks for the quick answers.  :)

In a playtester´s blog i´ve read four battlereports and they made it to level 20. So, how quick is level progression and is the level capped at 20?

That sound very fast to me, would be 500 ep per game, quite much.
Doable, but... :?

We played more games while not reaching that level.

In the end it depends on the scenario you play.
You need 100 EP to reach a new level, and can gain them through different things, like casting successfully a spell, taking out enemies (only those taking out by the wizard himself count), getting treasures and reaching scenario-goals.

At least it was like that in the playtest  :)

I would say that most people gain 1-3 levels per game, with 3 representing total domination in a game. Five is theoretically possible, but probably only in a scenario with special xp possibilities. I've never seen it happen.

There is no maximum level. There is an optional rule that allows a wizard of high enough level to 'transend' which gives a specific way for a wizard to 'win' a campaign if such a rule is desired.

May indeed. As early as we can, but there are some details we need to sort out.
There will be some Early Bird advantages to ordering straight away.

I had a chance to see the game at Salute, so here is my first impression of the game: https://nftu.wordpress.com/2015/04/27/frostgrave/ The text is in german, but it has some pictures of the models and layout in it.

Why the campaign chapter started with Injury and Death? I am little bit afraid that we will have to need A LOT OF Character Sheets... So the new guys can find cover behind pile of bodies (legendary Gamers 2) ...ehm...just kidding.

Models looks great. Except the blue shield. That one is terrible, seems I will have to find some source of medieval shields. And all weapons poles are to thick... but I can live with that one ;-)
