Both entries are fantastic - hard to choose between the two.

The top entry suffers from the photo, so it's very difficult to see what's going on with the armour  :'(.
As it is, it doesn't stand a fair chance imho... Hope you can post a better photo later, when it's allowed to do so.

yeah, I know, need a better one. Even my former digi cam was a bit better. Maybe I can work on the light a bit from round 5 on. But this one is clear, even if I had better pictures, so everything is fine.
To battle with blood just gets you bloody. ;)

Thanks for the nice comments!

You've topped yourself Richard these are the your best yet, the King's f'ing gorgeous  :-* Have you started washing your armour with something?

I thought this would be a tight vote, those are superb Samurai.

Thanks for the praise, folkes.
I think even with better pics the voting wouldn't be much different versus Blood. They are missing some more and final highlights. Hm, the pics are swallowing the highlights you cannot see anyway, so to speak. ;)
But since I was aiming at very multicoloured and vivid Samurai and even wanted to do some colour tests, cause they where my first Samurai-models, I am pleased with the outcome of my little bushido-freaks ... but still no match here.

However, the pics surely could be better (light and sharpness) but during this LPL there is little I can do.

Still having fun here and wonderful entries from all my fellow combatants.

best wishes

Thanks Chris  :)

I thought it would be tight too. I thought the samurai were top notch - so much detail.

Was lucky enough to pick up a test sprue of the new Perry WoTR light cavalry from Michael Perry at Tactica in Hamburg a few weeks ago. These will be released at Salute on 25 April. The King is concocted from the Foot Knights and Mounted Men at Arms sets...
And yes, I do use a bit of a wash on my armour these days - just a hint... either GW Agrax earthshade, or Army Painter 'strong tone' - as recommended by Dr the Viking...  ;)

More and larger pics in my regular WoTR thread once this round is finished.
