Soo much chaos in this round
I counted about nine GW entries, which is quite a lot for a forum which occasionally voices slightly critical opinions on that company.
Interestingly, they're all chaos if you count in ratmen and spiky dwarves. Admittedly those are often armoured, but aren't imperials too?
It took me some pondering to come up with cultists who are both armoured and robed, by the way. Fortunately I had some in my desk drawer - started maybe ten years ago. This kind of excavations could be used as a free alternative to shopping. (It doesn't stop me from shopping like crazy, of course.)
Oh and I'm looking at the almost same Hirst-Arts background in our flat.
We have the clone of this ruined tower in our club
Who doesn't?
Semi-coincidentally, it's also a decade-old piece, possibly one of the first I ever made. It was exciting enough by itself so apparently I didn't bother with any orginality back then.
A while ago I realised I've never used it as an LPL backdrop, despite participating in several seasons. Now I finally wanted to do it in some kind of old-school spirit. Of course, it turned into yet another "what could possibly go wrong - oh,
that too" story from the book of deadline hugging. In short, I planned to use the upper floor and a plain sky backdrop to avoid all extra hassle with terrain pieces. Well, it soon became apparent that it was way too small and looked daft. Then I found out that actually
no floor or side there has enough space for six small minis so that all would be properly visible and not awkwardly tilted. This was the best I managed to come up with at midnight, no longer even considering the idea of building
another set instead.
And those skull-shields are amazing. Is there a chance to get a close up when the LPL is over??
Maybe, but I predict major problems already with the official pics in the foreseeable future, due to circumstances...
