Gasp! The Lost Pyramid of Ingenzomen the Tasteless!  Legend has it that it was buried in the sands by a freak month-long khamseen purportedly called up by the Ancient Powers whose sense of good taste was outraged by its gaudy appearance! :o
Ok, tell me just one more time: _Where_ am i going, and _Why_  am I in this handbasket?

WallShadow, I'm really glad we solved that... big weight off my mind.  Actually things like your explanation of "The Lost Pyramid of Ingenzomen the Tasteless" are one of the charms of LAF that keep me coming back for more.  The members of LAF have strange/aka creative and wonderful minds... much in tune with The Lost Pyramid of Igenzomen the Tasteless.  Thanks.   Richard

MalcyBogaten, this appears to be further evidence of The Lost Pyramid of Igenzomen the Tasteless.   I love this stuff.  Thanks for posting.  Richard

Thanks to all of you for writing.  This was a rather odd posting for me as it involved nothing that I had actually produced.  I was simply lucky enough to have found it and bought it.  The fact is I posted these pictures just as soon as I got home from the swap meet ... I was really happy and excited by this thing and had the urge to show the world or at least that small piece of the world that might see it on LAF.  As was mentioned by Andym my swap meet has been extremely kind/generous to me over the many years I have been attending it... lots of neat stuff for my hobby, but I am sure that just as important as the treasure/broken toys are in bringing me back week after week the gift of the unexpected pulls me back as well.  This pyramid is the essence of that gift of the unexpected.  Until I saw this thing on Saturday morning I had no idea that it existed... a real "Oh Wow!" moment for me.  Thanks for sharing that moment with me or perhaps I should say for allowing me to share it with you.  If anyone has any idea what the origins/original use or manufacturer of this pyramid is/are, please let me know because I am curious.  Thanks again for taking a look and sharing my pleasure.  Richard

Wait...what?....you didn't even need to paint it? !?! Your swap meets are amazing!!

Amalric and Andym,  I start each Saturday and Sunday morning with a trip to my swap meet... it is amazing.  It is the only swap meet left in this area (all the community colleges in this area hold them on their parking lots each weekend) that still has vendors who sell used stuff, broken junk.... which is to say treasure!  The rest of the community college swap meets have become very much like outdoor dollar stores with stuff you can get at Big Lots and Dollar Tree and the 99 Cents stores.  But this one has remained pure to the mission of selling unwanted used and broken things to nuts like me.  Bless them!  I live in Orange County California just 25 minutes by surface streets from Disneyland... I would rather go to my swap meet than Disneyland and I like Disneyland.  Thanks always for writing.  Richard

Your swap meet is probably over 5,000 miles from me but if I ever get to California, I'll visit that meet!!!  ;)

I have a sneaky suspicion that I saw one of these in a tourist shop in Egypt many years ago

Fantastic piece

Ninja, Eric's mention of possibly seeing one in a tourist shop in Egypt is the only thing I have heard about its possible origin.  I have googled resin pyramid and found a lot of pyramids but nothing like this.  I had hoped by posting these pictures someone would be able to tell me the manufacture since there this nothing on the pyramid itself to indicate the source... I am curious.  I agree with Eric that it is a fantastic piece... really unique.  And Mad Lord Snapcase, if you are ever in the Orange County area, I do recommend that you set aside a couple morning hours on a Saturday or Sunday to visit the Golden West Swap Meet.  It's a great experience; you just never know what the next vendor will be selling... possibly a fantastic resin pyramid from a tourist shop in Egypt.  Thanks to all of you for writing.  Richard
