Great work... looking for the finished product  ;D

Are these sparybrushed or do you use color spray cans?

A CANADIAN local hobby store with a small selection of historical wargames miniatures (mainly from Warlords). They also have a great selection of paint and hobby accessories from Vallejo, Army painter, AK Interactive, Green Stuff World and more.; https://tistaminis.com/

Hi guys

Someone has asked me for a step by step for these models, so here we go, will give the steps so far, then do another in a few more steps.

1) Spray a dark grey base coat, Humbrol Pz grey with some black.
2) Mid grey sprayed, aiming for all the centres of panels, this leaves a nice shaded look.
4) Chipping added using dark grey and the sponge technique, trying to not overdo this step.
5) gave 4 of the vehicles a blue filter, and the other 3 a khaki filter.
6) paint the rubber wheels black, tracks and tools vellajo leather brown, you could use chocolate brown, but theres a little more red in the leather brown, which feels right to me.
7) a coat of gloss varnish.
8) add decals.
9) black pin wash.

Hi guys

Early 1/72nd French CoC Platoon finished, as well as my converted crew for the German Type 40 car.

Pics are a little poor, very overcast here today, had to use a flash.

The French are a mixture of Pegasus, Caesar, and Hat WWI French, many converted, theres 3x12 man Rifle sections, and a mortar, HMG, FO, and sniper for supports, will make some engineers and AT guns, as well as adding armour and vehicles, I have bought a pre painted Char B1 bis (first time I have done this), which I will shade/highlight and weather using my usual techniques, its quite a nice model.

The German crew are converted from Hat tank rider bodies and AB heads, left over from my Gebirgsjagers project.
