Looking for Wraiths
« on: October 06, 2008, 02:39:36 PM »
I'm on the lookout for some reasonably price Ringwraith type models, cloaks with swords.

The GW ones are out now they've switched over to casting in platinum, I just can't afford £40 for 9 models.

Does anyone have any ideas?

If you're looking for ones on horse, I think that my son was looking to get rid of quite a lot of figures and I'm sure that that included some GW mounted Nazgul though I am sure that he doesn't have the entire nine. Would you like me to check things out with him?
I don't know whether to be a good example or a horrible warning.

One of those Ral Partha Wraiths is nice, the chap with his sword up over his head.  Shame I can't buy him on his own.

Cheers for the ideas Bob.

That would be good, cheers.  As long as he doesn't want too much for them I may well be interested.

I am quite partial to RAFM's various ghosts, Lichesetc. Check them out in the fantasy section at www.rafm.com. Beware of their rather crappy customer service though. I would buy them through Battlefield Berlin.

You really expect a package from Canada to Switzerland sent by surface mail to arrive in less then 1 month? You want the package in a week then inform us and pay the postage and we will send it express. Customer service is a two way street.

Switzerland? Who lives in Switzerland? :P

@Doomhippie: Not really. Although I agree that customer service is a two way street, I have not had these long waits ordering from Pulp Miniatures, paying as far as I know about the same fees. Still, perhaps I should word myself more carefully in the future, since I am very keen on the RAFM miniatures from Silverfox. It doesn't hurt to be polite.

I am not from Switzerland, by the way. If you've sent a parcel of mine that way perhaps THAT would be the explanation.

Sweden my mistake. All I'm trying to point out is that we will and have shipped product overseas by other methods. You have to request the extra service as we do not bill online for anything more then standard surface rates. As for Canada post, that way leads to madness and I will not even try to comprehend how they handle mail. They are one of the worst postal services in the world.

They (Canada post) are a crown corporation (government) that caters to multinational companies while sticking it to the public. Sony can have a $60.00 order at my door next day and not charge me freight, the same service would cost into hundreds of dollars to extend to our customers.

I can understand anyone's frustration about waiting for something you purchased online. There are other methods to get it there faster so please ask if you require it. And we do hope that you support our overseas stockists like Battlefield Berlin (GERMANY), Simple Miniatures games (UK).

I must say, though, that I thought confusing Sweden and Switzerland was something that only happened in Hollywood sitcoms. Now I'm a little worried... :)

They are cheaper, but I do worry about using ebay.  It's bandit country.
