Legio Brotherhood of Steel: Fallout
« on: April 18, 2015, 07:17:15 PM »
Well it's my first post on these forums so I thought I would start with showing you all some of my post apocalyptic miniatures. Usually I paint old-school 40k models (the 80s beakie marines are a personal favourite) but recently I've been feeling something of a post apocalyptic urge!

Luckily a while ago my mate (who was aware of my love of all things Fallout) purchased me a squad of Brother-Vinnis excellent Brotherhood of Steel Paladins so I set to work on these... And I was so impressed with these models that I went straight online and ordered up a load more models!

First up we have a steel-knight equipped with a Gatling laser:

I really love this model; especially as it sticks so closely to the T-45d armour from the game.

Next up are the rest of the squad; the original models (irritatingly) only come in a single uni-pose with one weapon option (the Laser Rifle) so I tried to mix things up by adding a few different weapon systems from Hasslefree miniatures.

Overall I'm really pleased with the way these guys turned out, they are great models and a real joy to paint! It's a nice break from 40k.... Now I just need to decide what I'm going to next... The Enclave models or the Brotherhood scribe!

There's a few more pictures of these and other models on my blog:

I hope you guys like my efforts. I can't wait to get them on the post-apocalyptic battlefield!

Crisp PJs.
Love the conversions. I've got a bunch of those that have been waiting for some paint for a couple of years now  ::)
Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons,
for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup.

Cheers mate, they are a joy to paint. Mine were sitting on the desk for years waiting for a paint job but I am pleased I got round to it. I have some more T45ds I'm going to paint up as Brotherhood Outcasts.

The steel colour and tone is very nice on these. You've done a nice addition adding a few weapon variations too. The single pose was a bit of a hindrance in me buying more as well, haha, good to see that didn't stop you though.

Welcome to LAF the best skirmish miniature forum on the net.

Cheers
Matt.

Cheers guys, and thanks for the welcome. Yeah the monopose nature of the models is a bit annoying but for small units its can be worked around to a degree. For anything bigger it would become strikingly repetitive!
