Here's a little thing I painted just to relax a bit amongst other things :

The aim was to play with pigments a little (just got a set of them) and work on something with no big quality requirement.
You can read more about the process in the blogpost HERE

Really excellent - I keep thinking of getting one of those to do the same in 15mm/6mm (might be pushing it to try and get the details work for 6mm). That's spurred me on!

Lovely pile of scrap!
 :-*

I really like the graffiti, especially the 'Marines ou....'.
 lol

Those Tau vehicles look generic enough for general sci-fi use and I have been considering getting one.
This aint helping....

The neutral colouring and heavy weathering help a lot to 'unTau' the thing. I like the results, that's a perfect beginning for a scrapyard... :P

Cheers all, I'm quite satisfied by the result and i'll most likely add an old broken rhino to what I already have. A good ol' scrapyard has got to be a good thing for games right ? ^^

And this time I had to use this orctober opportunity to scratch the genestealer hybrid itch a little more so here is a band of orks and snotlings hybrids !

All sculpted by Kev Adams but one sculpted by Diego Serrate, they are wonderful models I fully recommend.

You can find more pics and stuff about those on the blogpost HERE if you care to have a look. ;)

Cheers guys !

I have been toying with doing some orcs grey as rock orcs and you have confirmed they look good, thankyou.
I've started these with a base colour that's closer to blue than green and have highlighted it with light grey progressively. I wanted to desaturate it rather than make it bright to keep a pale and sick look to the skin with still some orkish identity.
I've seen grey orcs by R. Priestley who looked great, definitely an interesting way to explore.

Here's an Inquisitor I've painted for a little challenge with 2 fellow painters. The aim of this is to tie the Lovecraft Mythos with 40k so here's my first character, Inquisitor Gimenez (based on Gideon Lorr) :

I've made a few scenic shots to go with the little backstory for him :

More about him and the project in the blogpost HERE.
