Terramortis, new range previews.
« on: 21 April 2015, 02:41:21 PM »
Hi everyone.
Some of you will already know my Steam & Aether and Tooth & Sword ranges but today I'd like to share the first previews of the latest project that I have been working on.

"Terramortis" is a heroic scaled apocalyptic scifi range that I have been working on for the last few months, the planning started almost exactly a year from now! I will have a selection of WIP sculpts to show off at Salute 2015, find me at stand TE20.

If you're interested, there are more pictures on Facebook:  https://www.facebook.com/pages/Meridian-Miniatures/278329682295664

I'll be back to post more previews of my other ranges before the weekend.

Cheers
Andrew

They do look rather nice... And somewhat familiar too? As in, grimdark familiar?  ;D

The sculpting looks top notch, but far too familiar for my tastes.

Now, for some notNecromunda...just about perfect I suppose.

...I actually hope that you make a pack of the just the heads separately (like Statuesque do), because they are rather good, and I have a lot of so-so models that would greatly benefit from your efforts there! ;)

Me.

Given what I have from Andrew I expect these to be technically great. Unfortunately they are not even close to being my cuppa and definitely no banana.

Wolf-scouts and Warzone are the first thoughts that came to mind when I saw these.

The sculpting is very good but some of the proportions are a little iffy... the shoulders/arms/necks look a bit off. They'd probably look better if the heads were fitted a bit lower in the collars.

Not bad but not that different either... you could probably achieve something similar with a box of plastic scouts, some Chaos knights and some Space Wolf sprues.

The sculpting on these is spectacularly good, but they are too derivative and nostalgic for me.
