Pictures of market garden.
« on: April 24, 2015, 09:23:06 PM »
I spend a large part of today rummaging through the old pictures of a recently deceased family member. Amongst them we found a large stack of pictures taken during operation market garden, in the south of the Netherlands. Now to be honest I never took much war gaming interest in this topic, since itís still a bit close to home here. In any case I could imagine people here appreciating any new pictures from this era. Most of them are of Highlanders (kilt and all), Shermans and some AA and AT Iím not sure about the correct designation. Also some aircraft in formation.
They are small but sharp pictures in good state and I would be more than willing to scan them for people here, should anybody consider them useful. We will likely do so anyway before donating them to the local archives.

Cheers,
Tim

Presumably they're photos of XXX Corps troops. I for one would be interested in seeing them.

I only had a little time so I quickly scanned them in bulk and they turned out less then clear. If any of these might be of particular interest I can try to take better scans later.

All of these are marked "veghel" on the back, the owner used to live in a town called Zeeland close to there.

EDIT: Had trouble uploading here, so I am sharing the album on Photobucket. I'll try to sort it out tomorrow.
