And? This is what you're aiming for with you project, right? ;)

Since it was made in the '70s I'm assuming those are 25mm minis - or did they just use the Airfix minis?

They look like Airfix to me, with many conversions and stand-ins.

That's what I was thinking, just wasn't sure.  Thanks!

Yeah, when I saw the swapped-out heads from French Infantry on the British Hussar bodies to make Light Dragoons it reminded me of when I did the same.

I always thought, that from the rear, the French artillery man
(carrying a cannon ball) looked like he was taking a pee. :D

So did they!

 :)

Also spotted the Airfix Curryasars/Scots Greys galloping about. We made British Dragoons by painting the French Cavalry red, the Greys got a AWI British Grenadiers head transplant, then painted likewise. The original Airfix Dragoons are still in action, but the Greys have been MIA, this last 20 years. Recreating the Scots Greys will be one of next Year's first projects.

Airfix 'British Dragoons'.

British Hussars with the head transplant Cubs mentioned.

"Don't step on my cabbages!" he said while threatening the well armed soldiers with his pitchfork.

That is quite a model - I suspect as many or more figures as in all the layouts at the Empress Hotel in Victoria, British Columbia (assuming it is still there?).
