Thanks for all the ideas for figures guys. Fortunately i now have some time to look at all the figures you suggested without needing to rush and buy some quickly (Dr De'Ath has promised to make ann 18th century-style folly with a Greek statue for the game).

I do like the idea of adding mythical creatures like the Hasslefree's Tatiana or Prince August's minotaur (must add that figure to my list next time I buy some more Warzone stuff). The foundry statues and pillars pack also looks perfect. For Greek gods I am still looking for suitable CLOTHED females (this is after all for Victorian England) and a realy good figure of Poseidon.

I don't think you can easily find a decent Poseidon.
Tom Weiss also has sculpted a very nice aphrodite [nude based on Boticelli's Aphrodite], but you need to remove the little demons and replace them with hair.
I think that this figure could go within Victorian puritanism. Venus and Diana, I think that were accepted at the sem-nude. Sorry, if I make any mistake.

Hust checked the Gods and Godesses from Chiltern.

I think that some of them make the ideal statues. Since they are a little larger than the other ranges, they make ideal statues.

And I take back about the decent Poseidon. Chilterns poseidon is superb, perfect for a statue!

Just a Q regarding Chiltern:

They are listed as 28 mm, but how do they compare? I noticed some VERY interesting victorians  ;D
Ask at the LAF, and answer shall thy be given!

Argonor,

I have noticed them since long time ago. I just saw them once (at SELWG 2006!), as all say they are huge. Maybe some othe might help you better.

If the Gods and Godesses are similarly huge then they will do pretty statues!

If you can tolerate a smaller figure (~25mm) on a pedestal instead of the 30 to 40mm that you propose, then you might consider a few of the Shadowforge (Australia) fantasy "Dark Temple" figures:

Click on products.  The fantasy range "Dark Temple" guards have a few suitable Greek type figures, some with more clothes than the others. There are also some female Centaurs, for that mythical creature turn. Also, the last of the gladiators, "Gladiator Hoplomachus," is suitably Greek goddess material.

Reaper do a couple in addition to the Hercules posted. Their Perseus is a great mini.

Bronze age minis do some very nice large Greeks

Go to irregular miniatures !

I use their 40mm range for my statue and they are perfect, especially their amazon range in Greek style armour
They are vers static so do the job perfectly !
