Mons
« on: May 15, 2015, 10:45:30 PM »
Last night our group had a Great War game based loosely on Mons . Using 28mm figures and terrain from the collection of Chris Caves , with Warhammer rules. the Huns managed to cross the canal in three places and force the Tommies to start a long retreat.

That is AWE-sum! I'd love to fight on that terrain, especially the bridges. :)

Well spotted Romack, that's what they were slag heaps. There were lovely little vignettes dotted around the table. Thanks for the comments ,Elizabeth , it was a pleasure to play , we had 2 British v 3 German players and Chris took the role of umpire and scenario generator .

No worries my friend. These are certainly lovely photos. I'd like to get more suitable terrain. :)

Early WWI is very interesting.

Another vote for the slag heaps.  Mons is fascinating for terrain modelling!

Is it just me, or am I getting vertigo looking at some of those pics?  :)

During the game, the umpire thought it amusing to fly an aeroplane over the field which proceeded to throw 2 hand grenades per turn whilst the Boche took pot shots at it.
