Jupiter Ascending
« on: 19 May 2015, 02:40:57 AM »
I know this isn't quite the right place for this, but has anyone seen the new Wachowski offering?

It's certainly an interesting film, if doomed to be consigned to the 'straight to DVD' section. Although I couldn't help but notice that the architecture bore several more than striking resemblances to that of 40k, especially the Jupiter refinery. (they did keep putting "Warhammer" into the script)

I wondered if any of you thought that elements of the film could be incorporated into existing Sci-fi gaming 'verses?

Doomed to Straight-to-DVD? It has already been in the cinema :)

Wargaming-wise, I don't see much there. The small-unit skirmish stuff was visually nice, but nothing out of the ordinary. Ditto for ship combat.
