Curious to know what kind of insulation they used? And what material is the roof going to be in the end?

Foam insulation, looked to be 25mm thick. The roof will be tiled.

That's good, even though the winter is not that cold over there as it gets here

No, it wasn't an option. Anyway I'll be using it in the evenings mostly and the bloody vine thing will cover the roof in no time.
The electrician arrives on Thursday, they'll be plenty of light (but all artificial).
