Faux Fur

Has anyone found a cheap supplier of Faux Fur at all? Everyone that ive found is quite expensive if planning to do a battle mat  o_o

I think it is expensive, but it will last for ever.

Have you done the rounds of your local haberdashery shops? I paid about £10 (it was either £7 or £13, I can't remember) for 1.5m sq.

I studied Furniture design so i was used to going into these places when i was younger to make my new pieces ha.

You'll probably know this from your furniture design but there are at least two types of faux fur.  The one I bought can be brushed in any direction and doesn't shed fibres too easily at a cut edge. I had also looked at another type which had a definite flow to the direction of the fibres and which it shed easily.

It's not something that i ever used mate so thanks for the info :)

I have a few shops around my work place in Glasgow so ill check them out when im not in Edinburgh next week.

I saw some at IKEA. Price was okay. The shape was "natural" so it would need some cutting but the colour was almost white so it will take any other colour well.
"I'd like to send this letter to the Prussian consulate in Siam by aeromail. Am I too late for the 4:30 autogyro?"
"Uh, I better look in the manual... This book must be out of date. I don't see "Prussia", "Siam" or "autogyro"...

Aye, charity shops with cushions or clothes in fur are a good source, but off-cuts are often at knock-down prices in fabric stores.
