Pulp Figures I've recently Completed
« on: October 18, 2008, 09:13:31 AM »
As you may or may not be aware I've only recently gotten into 'pulp' gaming, and have just finished my first batch!  Comments/Critique Welcome!

Copplestone Gangsters:

Pulp Mini's Cops (and Hydrant)

Ratrap Figures

I'll be rebasing the Ratrap figures as the tarmac effect went hideously wrong! (Trust me, in real life they look worse than the photos!  :o ) They'll be based the same as the copplestone figures (sticking with what I know!)

 Thanks for looking! :D
Smile!  It's not that bad!

Looking good. I really like the pose on that Rattrap figure, he looks very cool.

Most excellent.  :)

You can't mess with a man who's brave enough to wear a purple trilby, can you?

Very well indeed. I found them that the paintjob has given them a better character!

Thank you for all your kind words!

Not when he's armed with a cosh and a pistol ;)

Wish I'd known that 2 weeks ago! ::) ::)But thanks for the advice!

which one?  They are all (imho) very nice sculpts, just wish they were the same scale as the others.. they're a tad smaller.. irksome but not so bad they can't be used on the same tabletop

Like the way you paint these skins

Thanks!  It's REALLY easy to do as well!  GW Tallarn Flesh highlighted up through 3 or 4 (dependant on how lazy i'm feeling!) mixes of tallarn flesh/bleached bone to a final bleached bone highlight on the ends of ears, nose, knuckles etc.  If the highlights look too harsh then I wash with GW ogryn flesh wash (which to be honest I do more often than not)

Whilst on the subject of painting faces the only other thing I would say is I never paint eyes.  With my shaky hands and inability to paint 2 eyes looking the same way it ruins a model (they all look like wall eyed Pandas when I do it!) although the reason i normally tell people i paint for a table top and you can't see eyes from a long distance as it's less embarrasing!

Wow, that's a great job! I've had mixed feelings about the GW washes, but you confirmed my suspicions... you really need to build up some highlights before getting into the Ogryn Flesh. You've inspired me! Great work!
