Ikko-Ikki Monastery...
« on: 13 June 2015, 01:47:11 PM »
Hallo All,

Here is the start of my Ikko-Ikki Monastery, loosely based on Torigoe castle in Kaga Province, scene of the last stand of the Ikki in 1582... I feel a Pagoda coming on...  o_o

Best wishes,

S

I am actually quite, but not 100% sure, if this photo-realistic ... which means, if it is, it is awefully well done  o_o
Where - if so - did You get these?
best wishes

Thank you Drachenklinge, you are correct it is photo-textured and then pimped up, distressed down and generally abused!!  lol. I get most of my textures from here:

http://www.cgtextures.com/index.php

It is a great resource and for a free membership you can download 15Mb worth per day. I then find some good reference pics of the type of building I'm interested in making and then de-construct all the elements in photo shop and texture them. I've added a pic of the basic pattern I made for the Monastery Gate to give you some idea...
