Saracen Bannerman

Many thanks to the Prof and other mods for allowing this small breach in the usual protocol about eBay listings.

Okay guys, something a little different. I'm auctioning off a Saracen Bannerman - slightly converted from the 'Great Escape Games' exclusive Saladin model (available only with their 'Kingdom of Heaven' supplement) to hold an LBMS flag - painted by ME! The proceeds are going to the family of a member at 'Cardiff Saracens RFC' who lost his fight against depression a couple of months ago; the money is going into a fund we're setting up for the children he left behind, via various fundraising events. This fact is not lost on me as I type this on Father's Day. The auction will begin at 7pm GMT tonight (21st June) to finish next Sunday at the same time.

So have a look, please do bid if you want him and know that not only are you getting a lovely model with some of my daubing smeared across it, you're also helping a good cause. Thanks and please do pass the link on to anyone you think might also be interested.

That is a lovely figure and beautifully painted.  I hope the auction brings in a lot of money.

Edit:  I just bid and for a (short) while I am winning.  :)

Treading water now at £36 ... that No-Man's Land between the feverish start of the auction and the sprint finish. Now watching the 'Watching' tick over and hoping for fun and games before the end. You can't take it with you ... unless you're Egyptian, and then someone else is going to dig it up and stick it in a museum anyway.

Just a couple of hours left now if you're wanting this fella. I'm told Great Escape Games have also run out of these guys, so it really is Limited Edition!

Although we didn't see the sprint finish I was hoping for (like me in rugby training) it made a decently folding £39 (rounded up to £40 for the purposes of donation).

Thank you everyone who shared the link and especially those who bid. There are two children and one wee babby not yet born who will benefit from this money.
