Dijit, enjoy George McDonald Fraser's masterful book.  It's a fantastic read.

Actually witchfinder general hadnt crossed my mind as Id thought of it mainky as ECW, but i guess theres no reason not to have a butchers at it. Ive spent the evening trimming flashing, and glueing to bases. Next job sand and pva glue then on to undercoating. Excitement for getting started is building!

I think Witchfinder General is broad enough to fit the bill. IIRC they have additional rules for crossbows, longbows and shields in the Files Section of the Yahoo group (which is known as TheWitchfinderGeneral).

I'm also looking forward to the release of En Garde in the New Year.

Also kicking myself for selling off most of my Borderers years ago (after my main opponent buggered off back to the grim North lol). I did hang onto enough figures for a small skirmish, so shouldn't have to start painting as soon as En garde comes out!

Er, yes there's progress. Not much so far. I've not managed to paint all hat much yet a single ridder, and 9 on foot. I'll get my act together and post a picture tomorrow.

As promised, here's a few pictures of the few minis I've managed to get painted this autumn. My turn out has been pretty poor to be honest, but here's to hoping that will change.

In the last picture you can see a Foundry Swashbuckler with the Graven Images Borderers. To my eye he doesn't look out of place.

Nice work with the minis. To my eye no problem mixing different ranges together.

Thanks for posting. The difference looks quite marginal, perfectly within acceptable bounds in my world.

Very nice little clan there.  The Foundry Swashbuckler fits (he's a tad smaller and slimmer, but well within the normal range of human variables)
