Atlantean Armed Forces

Races, Sub-Races and Automatons

The Atlantean Nobility use different types and classes of personal armour, depending upon their standing within the heirarchy.

Light Panoply are used mainly by the younger officer nobility and are designed for speed, with rapid fire cannons and a close quarters melee weapon of some kind.
Pom-Pom cannons and multi-barrelled gatling style machineguns are commonly arm mounted, while hammers, powered claws, shields and spears. All with some form of kinetic energy discharge enhancement are hand held weapons of choice.





Medium Panoply are used by the bodyguards of the noble Atlanteans. They can be regarded as the seasoned NCO's of the Atlantean armed forces.
They have minimal ranged personal attack weapons. Instead they rely more on wading into an enemy wielding their kinetic hammers and poleaxes, sweeping enemy troops away from their charges.


Heavy Panoply are the armours of the noble elite. Heavily reinforced with lamenated compounds and mounting terrible weaponry. Ranging from anti-personnel launchers to kinetic energy discharger spears and battle claws. The Atlantean nobleman can stand back and observe his battle plan unfold. Or wade into the throng for his own sport!

Automatons 

The Atlanteans have been using automatons for centuries. Due to the decline in noble Atlantean births and the need for heavy armour support.
The Machines fill the need admirably. As they are easy to manufacture and hard to knock out. They also act as a military police force for the Atlanteans amongst their subserviant races. Such as the Basti, Anubi, Horus and to a lesser extent the Saurian and Demoni.

Artillery Golems, Sentinels, Guardians and Pouncer units are the most numerous. But smaller units like the new Trooper are becoming the mainstay of the Automaton force.

Sentinels: A medium sized automaton usually tasked with point defence. Conjurer Class.

Trooper:  The small man-size automaton that is beginning to see wider deployment throughout the Atlanteans' incursion forces. When these units back up the Saurian contingent of an Atlantean force it means that they mean business.

Pouncer: A Devil Wolf like automaton used as a scout and close combat unit. Its' jaws and claws can rend both man and armoured units.

Artillery Golem
Great walking tanks. Bristling with cannons of varying sizes. They achieve results through the massive broadsides that they unleash on their targets.  More Fluff

The Atlantean Race or Aelbiz Superior

They believe themselves superior to the human race that they once enslaved millenium before. Having averagely more strength and agility than humans. Their mental abilities are verging on the supernatural in some individuals. Capable of mind control over lesser beings as they see them.

Though physically much like a human, Atlanteans have an alienesque beauty similar to mythological elven nymphs. These legends could well be the remnants of their old empire upon our world.
