Vehicle help for BoB
« on: July 20, 2015, 04:28:53 PM »
Have an idea for a gang/group/expedition for BoB for a while now, something with plenty of pulp flavor but flexible enough that it could be seen in other parts of the world too.

My idea would be a scientific expedition/group of wealthy/well funded academics/explorers touring the far east on the look out for trouble one question though is what to use fpr transport?

I've had the idea of a few armoured cars laden down with tarps and baggage acting as mobile bases, so any suggestions, what cars/trucks would be realistically suitable? preferably something I can buy in plastic/resin (28mm scale).

I bought a 1914 pattern Rolls Royce from Trenchworx.com and it's a well done kit. It also looks like they make a Crossley Tender as well.

I joined my gun with pirate swords, and sailed the seas of cyberspace.

Was thinking of trying out the empress rolls royce as the crew looks rather nice as well, how is the trenchworkz stuff, I rathe like the look of the command ft-17 as a mobile command hut, I saw in the previews that the fresin had that 'ridged' look you get off 3d printers.

Also framframson...it's beautiful  :'(

You get a little of that ridged texture, but they are some of the nicest resin kits I've built. I had no warping, almost zero bubbles (and only very small ones) and the fit was great. Additionally the details were really crisp and they even include magnets for the turrets. Compared to my Copplestone vehicles, I think these are the better kits. Haven't seen the Empress in person, so would be curious to hear how they are.

Edit: I've got more pics on the blog if you want to be able to look at the texture a little closer
