Churchill AVRE Corgi conversion plans

I recently purchased a conversion kits to make a Corgi 1:50 scale Churchill in to a Churchill AVRE. I contacted the seller who was also the designer of the conversion kit to find out how to fit the conversion but he was unable to provide any further details. Has anyone on this forum done this conversion and how does it all go? Any suggestions?

Now something accidentally useful try the CoC yahoo group as I think big Rich uses Corgi and there is a Churchill ARVE photo in the rulebook

I have unscrewed the hull but the turret screw is proving difficult/obstinate. Perhaps a little force needs to be applied! 

Now I am tempted to buy the FT conversion as well as another Churchill? When will this obsession end?

Part of what I do is rebuilding items with out instruction manuals or any clear idea of its original look,so if your will to post a few pictures of the tank (model),add on kit etc then it's more than likely I can work it out.

Was it the Gasoline resin conversion kit you purchased?  They come from France.  That's what I used.  I'm in Spain at present, but from memory you unscrew the screw or screws underneath the corgi model.  You then wiggle the top and bottom of the hull until the come apart.  There's a knack to it that once yo get it right you can do it in seconds, but it doesn't take brute force. 

Once that's done, you remove the screw which holds the turret in place and remove that.  The Gasoline turret on my model needed a larger screw which I found in my tool box.  It isn't perfect as when I turn the turret one way I am screwing it on tighter, whereas the other way I am unscrewing it.  However, it does work and the screw is hidden inside the model.  There's a photo of my one in the Chain of Command rules.

Thanks Rich, I managed to unscrew the hull today including the front plate and dropped the hull MG plate on the floor but fortunately found it. Still having trouble with the turret screw but I will take it to the club tomorrow night and use the strength of some fellow club members. So tempted now to get the FT version as well and provide an engineer troop for my CoC Brits. He also did a Matilda Frog conversion kit as well, that might hold those Japanese back a bit.

Sometimes the screws do take a lot of shifting.  I used wd40 on the worst ones, that got things moving.
