Warzone Capitol, Brotherhood, Mishima
« on: August 08, 2015, 10:11:26 AM »
While painting my Arkham Knight conversion I just could not resist to finsih some Warzone minis.

Captain Henry Thomas - No modifications at all, just an incredible good sculpted mini! Hopefully my paintjob gives it credit.

Capitol Light Infantry - The above mini is from the Warzone Resurrection KS, I did a head swap (Empress Moderns US) however. The Light Infantry helmet is true to the original artwork, but somehow it does not work for me. After that the mini was mounted on a 25 mm MDF base.

Capitol Airborne Cavalry - The above mini is from the Warzone Resurrection KS, I only used the Airborne head and backpack, otherwise right out of the box. The mini will serve in double duty not only as part of the 44th Airborne Calvary but also as an Arkham Knight crew mercenary.

Martian Banshee - As with Thomas, no modifications at all on this mini.

More pics and background as usual on my website: http://www.adpublishing.de/html/capitol.html

Lovely paint job on some lovely figures :-* :-* :-*
What scale are they? They look bigger than 28mm.

Awesome paintjobs. Love the miniatures and the game too...wish more people played it!

Big thanks folks!

I have to agree, when I received my KS pledge I was shocked about the bad casting, bended parts etc.
Later I realized that most of it could be easily repaired or fixed. In addition the Prodos customer service was always good. Replacement when necessary was never an issue.

What scale are they? They look bigger than 28mm.

Roughly 32-35mm. They fit very well to Zombicide, Knight Models Batman etc.

...Love the miniatures and the game too...wish more people played it!

True, that might convince me to actually play the game again. I was big in WZ 1st ed, I loved the game. But to be honest I tried 2-3 times to understand the new rules and I just do not get it.
I even watch the demo game on BoW...
In addition I really dislike cluttered gaming tables and all the resource cards etc.

I probably end using the new minis with the old 1sr ed rules!  ;)

What's the resin like now on these figures? I quite like a lot of them but I'm not sure I want to fork out the cash only to find I have something like Finecast to deal with...

It does not have air bubble holes like failcast.
It is however a strange material. It has some flash and it bends easily. But once you got the shape (warm water treatment) it holds the shape and is NOT bending back.

It is also very light, it can withstand falling from the gaming table. It works very well with super glue.

In a way it is a very good material but also NOT something for the beginner!

Great miniature and painting, as always  ;) The color scheme imediately reminded me of Will Smith's Deadpool character from Suicide Squad.

I said so too before...but last week I checked my conversions again and they all slowly reverted back to their previous shape...resulting in very weird poses :(
And my hobby room is in the coolest room in the house, so couldn't have been the heat...

The Crimson Devil above is from Prodos Warzone range. It was the first mini I bought after the initial KS, I was blown away by the casting quality, an incredible improvement. The only thing I do not like is the slight scale creep, the gun is bigger than the Hatamoto gun!

My Mishima forces is slowly growing (at glacial pace tbh)...

I painted my second Hatamoto, a minor conversion, the head is from Prodos Samurai range.
