Hello people,
I have been lurking here for an inordinately long time, thought it was about time I registered and started posting endless questions.
I'm originally from the UK, moved to Canada about 12 years ago, spent a while on the West Coast, now I'm here in Hamilton, Ontario.
Started gaming when I was pretty young, mostly it was RPGs back then, started out with Dungeons and Dragons, but haven't played that in close 20 years now. I have tons of Roleplaying games languishing on the shelves due to lack of a group, but that doesn't stop me from buying more books that I wont ever get around to playing.
I started out with Warhammer Fantasty Battle 3rd Edition and very quickly moved on to Rogue Trader, didn't really keep up to date with all the editions that followed. I guess then you can call me an OldHammerer. I have every edition of Space Hulk and every edition of Blood Bowl, there's also Space Marine, Necromunda, Mordheim, Battle Fleet Gothic, Epic 40k, Adeptus Titanics.... I think about the only GW big box game I never bought was Dark Future, but that wasn't for lack of trying.
I bought into the Mongoose Miniatures Judge Dredd Kickstarter, even though I had dozens of the buggers already unpainted. That's pretty much where I shift scales away from 25/28mm to 15mm, for which I have large collections of WW2, WW1, Chinese Warlord and some Sci-Fi.
As for rulesets, along with my Oldhammer of various types, I mostly play TooFatLardies I Ain't Been Shot Mum!, along with as much Two Hour Wargames as I can get my hands on. I play a lot of boardgames, well... I buy a lot of boardgames and they look pretty on my shelves, I very occasionally get to play them.
I'm looking for gamers in my area and to continue to be inspired by the truly amazing paintwork and model making you guys post here, and hopefully that will motivate me to reduce my lead pile.
Cheers.
