Tactics and deployment

Although opposition deployment, placement of treasure tokens and scenarios play a part in tactics and deployment, have people developed ways they always set up, or combinations of troops they always deploy together? I'm using a Necromancer, with the following warband:

Apprentice
Treasure hunter
Archer
Archer
Crossbowman
Thief
Thief
Thief
Warhound

I plan to set my wizard up with the two archers and a zombie. The idea is that the archers mean that anything wanting to get within LoS of the wizard will have to put themselves in danger from missile fire - the zombie will act as a meat shield and move in front of the wizard to block LoS. Apprentice will start with the treasure hunter and two thieves, who will head towards the biggest concentration of treasure tokens. The others will deploy along the flanks.
