Venice Board for a Solomon Kane game
« on: August 28, 2015, 06:34:16 PM »
I plan on running a Solomon Kane game using the Crom rules at the Fall In convention.  I'll be using multiple small boards for the game, one of which is set for Venice.  I've posted some photos and a few notes about construction on my blog:

(I'm not sure if this is the right board to post this, so feel free to move it to the correct one.)

How did you find the PlastCraft buildings to work with? Do you think they have to be built "as is" or is there much scope for conversions?

I am considering getting some for Carnevale.

robh, I found the Plast Craft building relatively easy to work with.  The kits are primarily the plastic sheets with space cut in to add the window and door pieces that are made of resin. There is some details, like stone work cut into the plastic but I did used textured paint (craft paint with sand mixed in) to give the walls a rougher surface. There are no internal floors but I made some out of cardboard; because of that, I didn't glue the roofs on. I think they would be fairly easy to modified.  I used regular Crazy Glue to put them together and they seem to hold up well.

Looks great. Very effective and instantly recognisable as Venice. :)

Looks good. Adding the textured paint is a great idea.
