Your Titan is Ready to Drop; wargaming Titanfall
« on: 29 August 2015, 02:19:19 PM »
Hey guys, relatively new in these parts, but been a lurker for a while. I have more projects than I can count on the go, most of them long unloved and neglected, but one that has kept me moderately interested is to recreate Titanfall in miniature form. The game was enormous fun, and I still periodically jump online to play against the few dozen people still playing in my region. I plan to eventually expand the IMC and Militia forces from what is seen in the game, but for now I'm just trying to get some basic titans, pilots and terrain together. This will be a slow burn, so don't expect regular updates I fear.

Anyway, so far all I've got done is a militia pilot and his atlas titan. Both are from Flytrap factory. The Atlas is alright, and initially I was happy with the 'near enough is good enough' approach, but I started working on an Ogre today, and the differences were just too much, so I'm planning on converting the other five mechs I have to be closer matches. I'm not aiming for total accuracy, just something recognisably close.

Thoughts and feedback is gratefully received and highly motivating :)

I've considered gaming Titanfall but with 28mm figures and using the K'Nex Titans. Good luck with your project ;)

And I can't help and post this:

Great idea. Looking forward to seeing how this works out .
