Plastic ruins from Renedra
« on: 03 September 2015, 12:11:33 PM »
Hi all,

I just saw that Northstar now offers ruin pieces in plastic made by Renedra:

http://northstarfigures.com/prod.php?prod=7714

On the ttfix blog more pictures are shown:
http://ttfix.blogspot.de/2015/09/north-star-military-figures-new-plastic.html

I got caught unaware of this and am pretty happy with this but was wondering if I simply missed it or if there is an update that covers the upcoming terrain releases...?

Thanks,
Michael

The ruins look great and to be honest much better than their painted previews! Found more information and posted it on my Wargame News and Terrain news website here. You can find it here: http://wargameterrain.blogspot.be/2015/09/renedra-hard-plastic-fantasy-historical.html?m=1

These look useful and not just for frostgrave. They should sit nicely alongside my games workshop gothic ruins, lotr ruins and osgiliath ruins.thanks for sharing

Good stuff! 8)

And they do look better in these pictures. Very interested to see what the other sprues look like, and also the mentioned tower. It looks like I have more than enough towers lined up for now, but if it's a nice one... ::)
Miniatures you say? Well I too, like to live dangerously...

For the amount of table coverage you get I think these are quite pricey.
3 of these arches is more expensive than a Pegasus Gothic building kit (which is substantially larger) and for the same money they are not nearly as nice as the Thormallion ruins (Chamberlains corner etc).

If there is a discounted bulk set offer the value could be better than the other choices but as individual sprues, no. But then, it is another option on building ruins.

Aie? 3 would be £15.

 The Pegasus building is £30?

It's no debate though the Pegasus buildings look massive. But then on a par if you're in England you can get GW terrain for dirt cheap and then it's quality>Peg (imho)

I think those are about £18 over here. Cheaper than 4 of the Renedra walls, larger, with the option for a second storey.

Not anymore you can't, least not new, certainly not sets as versatile as the gothic ruins.

Half the Pegasus Ruins set makes you this....

Excellent value.
 ;)

I used a lot of the Pegasus stuff in my Mordheim project, the scnery from which I shall using for Frostgrve with the addition of 'snowdrifts'...

More examples are on my thread here:

Might have to get me some sets of both the pegasus and renedra, good to see renedra are going to bring out a tower as well.

Have they stopped distributing to indies? That sucks! Man they make mental choices don't they.

Just seen minimonsters on the DS website, look like really nice stuff, and with the discount they're looking very tempting.
